On November 13th at 8:30 AM seniors at Warrenton High School were called down to the commons to attend an assembly with Missouri’s attorney general, Andrew Bailey, to speak with seniors about Spectrum Communications “Take a Vet to School Day” partnered with the History Channel. Mr. Bailey was introduced to the class of 2025 by principal Eric Alderson to which Bailey spoke about his time in Iran and how his life was after the terrorist attack 9/11. He explained how he went to Iran to fight and how he was transferred to places like Colorado and Texas after he returned from his deployment. He spoke about his childhood, why he wanted to be a prosecutor because of his grandpa, and about his family. He adopted three children and had another child that he loves dearly.
After the assembly, people from Spectrum and others took photos. When Dr. Ross, the vice superintendent for Warren County, was asked how attorney general Bailey came to be at the high school, the answer was simple: Bailey reached out. I also asked Principal Alderson and Vice Principal Francis about the attorney general, and they claimed that he was extremely humble and surprised that he used to live in the Warren County area. I also inquired about the reason why the attorney general only met with the senior class and not the entire school, while the answer was unclear I was able to put together that he wanted to talk to the next generation of blooming adults in his favorite town.
